How to Build an Environ Skincare Routine: The Correct Order for Morning & Night

Environ evening skincare routine with targeted serums

One of the most common questions when starting Environ is:

“What order should I use my Environ products?”

Environ routines can range from simple to advanced, but more products don’t necessarily mean better results. The goal is to build a routine around your skin’s individual needs, introduce active ingredients appropriately, and apply your products in the correct order.

Here’s a simple guide to building your Environ morning and evening routine.

The Foundation of an Environ Routine

Before adding targeted serums, masks, or advanced products, start with the essentials.

A well-rounded Environ routine generally focuses on:

Cleanse → Tone → Target → Vitamin A → Protect

Once you’ve established your foundation, additional products can be incorporated based on concerns such as aging, pigmentation, congestion, dehydration, or sensitivity.

Your Environ Morning Routine

Your morning routine should prepare your skin for the day while providing hydration, targeted support, and sun protection.

Step 1: Cleanse

Begin with an Environ cleanser appropriate for your skin type.

Cleansing removes excess oil, impurities, and residue from the skin while creating a fresh base for the products that follow.

If your skin requires it, your skincare professional can help you choose between Environ’s different cleansing options.

Step 2: Tone

Follow cleansing with your recommended Environ toner.

Toning complements the cleansing process and prepares your skin for the next steps in your routine.

Step 3: Apply Targeted Serums

This is where your routine becomes personalized.

Depending on your skin concerns, you may incorporate targeted Environ products for:

* Fine lines and visible signs of aging
* Pigmentation and uneven tone
* Dryness and dehydration
* Congestion and blemishes
* Sensitivity and barrier support

You don’t need a serum for every concern. Choose products based on what your skin actually needs.

Step 4: Apply Your Environ Vitamin A System

Next, apply the Vitamin A system appropriate for your skin.

For Skin EssentiA®️, this may be your recommended AVST Moisturiser.

For Youth EssentiA®️, this typically involves the appropriate Vita-Peptide C-Quence Serum and Antioxidant Defence Crème.

Your Vitamin A level should be based on where you currently are within Environ’s Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™️.

Step 5: SPF

Always finish your morning routine with broad-spectrum sun protection.

Daily SPF is especially important when you’re investing in a professional skincare routine designed to improve the appearance and overall quality of your skin.

Your Environ Evening Routine

Your evening routine is an opportunity to thoroughly cleanse the skin and apply your Vitamin A and targeted products without the final sunscreen step.

Step 1: Pre-Cleanse

If you’re wearing makeup, sunscreen, or heavier products, begin with an Environ pre-cleansing product.

This helps remove surface oils, makeup, and sunscreen before your primary cleanse.

Step 2: Cleanse

Follow with your regular Environ cleanser to thoroughly cleanse the skin.

Step 3: Tone

Apply your recommended toner after cleansing.

Step 4: Apply Targeted Serums

Apply any targeted products that have been selected for your individual concerns.

Depending on your regimen, some targeted products may be used once daily, while others may be incorporated differently. Always follow the directions for the specific product you’re using.

Step 5: Apply Your Vitamin A System

Finish with the appropriate Skin EssentiA®️ or Youth EssentiA®️ Vitamin A system for your current level.

Where Do Masks and Exfoliation Fit?

Masks and exfoliating products generally aren’t everyday steps in the same way that cleansing or your core Vitamin A system may be.

Instead, they can be incorporated into your routine according to the individual product instructions and your skin’s needs.

This is also an area where more isn’t necessarily better.

Using too many exfoliating or active products at the same time can make a routine unnecessarily complicated and may contribute to sensitivity.

What About Environ Retinol?

Environ’s targeted retinol products are different from simply choosing an AVST level.

They are generally incorporated strategically into an established routine rather than automatically being added when someone first begins Environ.

If you’re new to Vitamin A, focus first on establishing the appropriate foundational system before adding more advanced Vitamin A products.

Beginner vs. Intermediate vs. Advanced Environ Routines

Your Environ routine can evolve over time.

Beginner

Cleanser → Toner → Vitamin A System → SPF

Keep things simple and establish consistency.

Intermediate

Cleanser → Toner → Targeted Serum → Vitamin A System → SPF

Once your foundation is established, introduce products targeting your primary skin concerns.

Advanced

Pre-Cleanse → Cleanse → Tone → Targeted Treatments → Advanced Vitamin A System → SPF

An advanced routine may incorporate additional serums, peptides, retinol, masks, or other Focus Care products depending on your skin and goals.

Advanced doesn’t mean using every product Environ makes.

It means creating a more targeted routine based on what your skin actually needs.

How Many Environ Products Do You Really Need?

There isn’t a magic number.

Someone may have an excellent routine with four carefully selected products, while another person may benefit from a more comprehensive regimen.

Instead of asking:

“How many products should I use?”

Ask:

“What does my skin actually need?”

Your routine should be purposeful. Every product should have a reason for being there.

How to Choose Products for Your Skin Concern

Once your foundational routine is established, you can begin customizing it.

If your primary concern is fine lines and aging, your targeted products may focus on peptides, Vitamin A, hydration, and other age-management ingredients.

If your concern is pigmentation, your routine may incorporate products from Environ’s Radiance+ range alongside your foundational Vitamin A system and daily sun protection.

For congestion and blemish-prone skin, products from the Clarity+ range may be incorporated where appropriate.

For dry or dehydrated skin, additional moisture-supporting products can be added.

And for sensitive or easily reactive skin, keeping your routine streamlined and progressing gradually can be especially important.

We’ll break each of these routines down individually in our upcoming skin-concern guides.

The Most Important Rule: Don’t Add Everything at Once

When you discover Environ, it’s tempting to build an entire advanced routine immediately.

But introducing products gradually has an important advantage: you can actually understand how your skin responds to each part of your regimen.

Start with your foundation.

Allow your skin to become comfortable.

Then introduce targeted products intentionally.

Your routine can evolve as your skin does.

Not Sure How to Build Your Environ Routine?

Your ideal routine depends on your skin type, concerns, current products, Vitamin A experience, sensitivity, and goals.
